What to Pack for Trekking??? Trekking Equipments needed while TREKKING
In Order to enjoy your TREK in this world, having the right Trekking equipments is necessary - both for comfort and safety. The Trekking equipments depends upon the type of Trek , time of Year, Wether Conditions, altitide of the location and type of place. However i am going to share some most essential things that would be wise to carry on most TREKS.
A properly packed Trekking bagpack is light and includes multipurpose clothing items. Moreover make sure bring warm clothes according to that weather, especially on winters (november-february). Not having the right Trekking Equipments and Clothing will not only decrease the pleasure of trekking but also could be a scenario of Life Threatening..
Things to Carry on Trekking
CLOTHING
- If possible carry a Warm/Down Jacket.. a Down Jacket is a Jacket whose inside is insulated with soft and warm under features from ducks and geese. It is a fantastic insulator of heat, thus helps the wearer to keep warm in cold weather.
- Carry a good quality jacket (as no jackets are wind and water proof..) so that it wont get damage in all between and dont forget to carry an Umbrella and a poncho (a wollen cloth with a slit in the middle for head)..
- If possible carry a windproof long sleeve synthetic fleece.. Carry Thermal Underweres according to the locations weather, it helps to regulate your body temperature, keep you warm and dry..
- Carry a pair of gloves for your own precaution, a hat and a scarf in rough..
- Rather than jeans you can carry comfortable hiking pants, those are light weight, quick dying pants and especially for outdoor trekking pursuits. Some of your shirts and t-shirts, shorts and trousers or skirt according to your preference.. make sure it should not make your bag too heavy to lift.
- Pack 2 pairs of warm wollen blended socks, 2 pairs of running or liner socks. You must carry proper hiking boots, a pair of running shoes & a pair of flip-flops.
- Additional winter note: if its winter then down jackets are highly recommended along with warm trousers including hiking trousers and snow gators.
EQUIPMENTs
- To be comfortable and avoiding potential snow-blindness carry a pair of polarizing sun glass..
- A Bagpack and Bagpack Cover to protect you bag from rain and dust..
- Before visiting the place physically you must collect some data about the place, how the place is, what the place is.. for better understanding download/carry the particular map of that place in detail..
- Dont forget to take a Head Torch/Small powerful tourch, its the most important thing someone must not forget.
- A sleeping bag & silk liner is mustr.. because one should be prepared for every silly things while travelling.. it can help you to rest anywhere in middle..
- Water is available everywhere but you should carry a 2X size water bottle for your own care.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Carry some Toilet Papers for own hygine.
- A small light weight towel which can dry easily.
- A bar of soap or body wash which you use it in daily basis.
- A sunscreen according to ypur preference.
- Dont forget to carry your Earphone/ Bluetooth earphone.
- for Lower elevations use Insect Repellants.
- First-aid Kit for own saftey.
- Carry some water purification tablets as a option, if travelling to alone places.
- Charge your phone 100% before leaving home and carry your charger, one/two powerbanks if travelling to remotr places. Can also Carry a compass if you trekking to a forest or plain like desert places.
- Binoculars if you want to view the city/place from top.
- Some Magazines/books to kill time while travelling.
- Some Trekking poles or Walking poles if visiting forest or hill like places.
- Dont forget to turn on your GPS on your phone.
- Some padlocks for your luggage and guest room locking purpose.
- A small sweing/repairing kit for emergency.
- A pocket knief for emergency.
- A Diary/nootbook with pen/pencil.
DIY CAMPING
- If you are not in a plan to stay at hotels / motels and in a mood to camp then you must carry your Tent..
- Stove if planned to not buy and eat.. its a way to enjoy more the trekking.. it gives fun with a differnt feeling. Along with stove you will also requiring cooking eating drinking utensils and food materials.
- A sleeping mat is the last thing you need at the end of the day to sleep inside the tent.
